Projects
Niantic Bay Boardwalk and Beach
This has been a major project for which the Foundation is well known. The Foundation conceived of and developed the original Niantic Bay Overlook (renamed the Boardwalk), and eventually donated it to the town of East Lyme. The Foundation is committed to helping East Lyme and its Parks and Recreation Department maintain and preserve this natural treasure in the public trust.
BEACH PRESERVATION AND BEACH GRASS PLANTING
A Study of varying forces of wind, tide and storms on the physical response of the Niantic Bay Beach; A companion study on the influence of beach vegetation on the accumulation or erosion of sand dunes on the upper sectors of the beach.
Mccook Park Bandshell
A cooperative effort to promote and build a band shell at East Lyme’s town park opening in the spring of 2017. East Lyme Public Trust Foundation helped to promote and fund the new Bandshell opening. For more information on the Bandshell project and it’s dedication click here.
